Payment
and Late Fees
Desert Foothills Dance accepts payment in cash or by personal check.
If paying by check, please note the month or semester for which payment
is being made and the student's name(s) in the memo area. A receipt
is available upon request if paying by cash. A late fee of $20. will
be assessed for payments received after the 10th of the month. A $25.
return check fee will be added on all insufficient funds or closed account
checks. Credit will not be extended into next pay period. No refunds
will be given.
Class
Attendance - Make-ups - Holidays
Please encourage and support consistent attendance. A student's growth
as a dancer is often in direct proportion to one's conscientiousness
of study, this includes consistency in attendance. Make-up classes are
available if a class is missed due to illness or injury. Missed classes
must be made up within a month from time of recovery. It is the student's
responsibility to make up classes. Please consult with instructor as
to the most appropriate make-up class(es). Holidays are noted on Studio
Calendar of the Schedule. Note that many holidays fall on a Monday so
make-up options are made available for classes missed due to a Monday
holiday. If a student attends multiple classes/week with Monday being
one, a make-up class is an optional privilege; if Monday is a student's
only dance day, make-up is a responsibility.
Friendly Reminders of Proper Class Etiquette
Though it is certainly fun to attend dance class with a friend and often
friendships developed in dance may last a lifetime, it is important
to remember that class is a time for concentrated learning not "chit-chat"
and socializing. Talking should be kept to a minimum, every effort made
not to interfere with the learning of others. Be respectful of one's
teacher, asking questions as necessary. Dance bags with all personal
belongings, including cell phones, are to be left in the dressing room
during class. Please leave valuables at home. The studio is not responsible
for any lost, stolen or misplaced belongings. No gum in class as it
poses an obvious choking hazard. No leaving and re-entering of the studio
after class has begun, excepting supervised water break. Bringing a
personal water bottle to class is preferable.
Visitation
and Class Observation
Parents are invited and encouraged to observe class the first week of
each month beginning in December. Other visitation is invited, on occasion,
for purposes of enrollment consideration. All visitors must sign-in,
stating reason for visit and receive permission to observe. It is important
to minimize distractions and support an environment conducive to learning.
Revolution
Dancewear
Desert Foothills Dance has partnered with Revolution Dancewear in offering
you quality dance clothing at substantial savings. Ordering dancewear
